News update
On Wednesday 2 April the Planning Committee will discuss an application to demolish the current Multi-Storey Car Park in Ashford.

On Wednesday 2 April the Planning Committee will discuss an application to demolish the current Multi-Storey Car Park in Ashford and build 42 residential homes with ground floor commercial use (Use Class E - Commercial, Business and Service uses). The car park has been closed since June 2022 and was often subject to anti-social behaviour which impacted residents and businesses in the town centre.

The proposal includes 81 parking spaces which are to be provided within the development, of which 42 spaces are to be designated for the new homes and the remaining 39 spaces are to be provided as public parking for the town centre. New public space will be created at the front of the site to include soft landscaping and underground bins.

Residents can see the meeting's agenda at Agenda for Planning Committee on Wednesday, 2 April 2025, 7.00 pm - Spelthorne Borough Council and read the full report on the proposals here.  The meeting will be  streamed online and available to watch on You Tube Spelthorne TV Planning Committee - 02 April 2025
