Council pays tribute to Bob Noble

It is with great sadness that Spelthorne Borough Council announces the death of former Ashford Common Councillor, Bob Noble.

Bob, who lived in Shepperton, was elected to represent Ashford Common to serve as a councillor in May 2019 and he held this position for 4 years up until May 2023. Passionate about his local environment he was chair of the Climate Change Working Group, Chair of the Development Sub-Committee and Vice-Chair of the Environment and Sustainability Committee for two years. He also served on the Cabinet from 2020 -2021 as a Portfolio Holder for Environment, Communications and Corporate Management.

In his private life Bob also served as a local independent celebrant and in his former years as a talented designer for a regional newspaper.

Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council, Cllr Joanne Sexton, said: "Bob was always a friendly and hardworking councillor, and I always enjoyed working with him. On behalf of the council and councillors, I would like to send my deepest condolences to his family and friends at this sad time."

Chief Executive of Spelthorne Borough Council, Daniel Mouawad, said: "We are all very shocked to hear about the passing of Bob. He served residents with distinction and tenacity over his tenure and my sincere condolences to everyone that knew him, I know he will be deeply missed."

The Council's flag will be flown at half-mast.
